To enroll, prior practice in general Yoga for at least 1 year is required, preferably with training in our method, Sotai Yoga®. You also need to participate in Yoga classes for personal use in one of our local schools or with one of our certified teachers online or in person. In other words, you need to practice as a student while training to become a teacher. This will give you extra experience in an actual group yoga class setting.
The teacher training program is also conducted online from the comfort of your home, as well as in-person at approved locations. It is divided into 2 levels: a Fundamental 200-hour course and an Advanced 300-hour course, both approved by the Yoga Alliance, which will recognize the certificate we issue upon completion of your studies. The platform we use for online courses and seminars is www.lotosyogaeducation.com, where you can log in as a guest to view a Sample of the Curriculum.
We recommend that you supplement all our teacher trainings with yoga classes for personal use, in order to gain practical experience in the art of teaching.
Final Exams for all on 06-07/Sep/2025
Gaining Teaching Experience In order to acquire sufficient knowledge, experience, understanding, and fluency in teaching Yoga and designing progressive classes, we offer you the following opportunities:
a) During the training weekends: A lot of interactive practice in the art of teaching throughout your studies, putting into practice the theory of proper Yoga teaching techniques. b) Participation in Yoga classes with a wide audience and an experienced teacher: By participating in a dual role—as students and as future teachers—not only do you perfect your own techniques, but you also gain more experience in real-world conditions over time.
There is much more you can learn in real yoga lessons, which you cannot learn during the training weekends. For example, you will observe how an experienced teacher manages a variety of students with different abilities and needs. You will experience a sequence of techniques within a single Yoga class, as well as in a series of Yoga classes for the same group of students, leading to progress.
